#Repost @youthoverguns ・・・ As we honor the life and legacy of #MLK we call on our community to fight back against deceptive rhetoric that paints Dr. King to be a peaceful martyr. Dr. King was a fierce activist who stood on the frontlines of the civil rights movement and was murdered for doing so. Today and everyday it is our obligation to honor him with action. With voting rights under attack across the United States, we find ourselves in a very familiar predicament to where our elders were in the 1960’s. Again, we must give it our all, defy authority, and fight for expansive voting rights. Still today, Dr. King’s remarks are strikingly relevant “the tragedy is that we have a congress with Senate that has a minority of misguided senators who will use the filibuster to keep the majority of people from even voting.” Today we call on @senschumer @vp & @potus to work together and effectively #abolishthefilibuster.
