Doing the work. I don’t really get caught up in the “New Year, New Me” sentiment. Instead I embrace gradual, steady growth and development - always evolving. I simply look at this year as another chapter in my journey and a common theme that remains present in my path is IMPACT. Today, I spent the early morning calling detention centers around the country and packaging up notebooks to send to incarcerated youth on behalf of theyouthwillbeallwrite 🧡 I’m blessed with peace, love and positivity and I’m surrounded by family and close friends...but that is not the case for these kids. So today, instead of focusing on starting a new diet, diving headfirst into a fitness kick, or letting myself get caught up in the self absorbent goals that attach themselves to the New Year...I focused my energy and efforts into the ones whose voices need to be amplified. Today I focused on someone other than myself to ensure that #theyouthwillbeallwrite ✍🏾
