#MomentOfTruth:⠀ ⠀ Owning a business is hard, mentally frustrating, socially taxing, and can be draining at times - especially when the advantages of racial wealth and prosperity were not dealt to us in the first place. My parents weren’t born with a silver spoon in their mouth. The rich uncle never pulled up. There were a lot of secret investors amongst people of people that I knew, but no one ever invested. Trust me, I was waiting for one to sweep me up off my feet 💸 - I simply had the will, the desire, the passion, the bootstrapping, the mentality, a concerted effort, razor focus, tenacity, and determination to be the best version of what my ancestors envisioned me to be. ⠀ ⠀ I have cried, collapsed in pure exhaustion, looked up how much it would cost to escape to the “Motherland” and hideout 🏃🏾‍♀️💨✈️✌🏾, but I never gave up or truly entertained those low spirited moments; I never lost the love for the hustle or the game.
