As if you didn’t already know this, I am both a young woman and Black. I’m EXTREMELY passionate about defending black women and girls. When I wear this shirt, I wear it proudly, even as I see people read it and quickly turn the other way as if it they didn’t read it. 😏 That’s ok ‘cause I’m okay with making others uncomfortable. The magic takes place outside of the comfort zone right? And plus, there’s too much change that needs to take place to allow others to be comfy and complacent. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Our women and girls need us...they have always needed us. I am convinced that hurt people HURT people, but we have to do better! We have to stop the hurt, the pain and the abuse. We have to break the vicious cycle and do better.
