My father planned a trip for the family today. We were told to get ready, we ate breakfast and he told us that we were going to take a little road trip. All roads led to Alabama...Montgomery to be exact. We arrived at legacymuseum. We were excited to be there for so many reasons, but it was HEAVY. My ancestor’s history and even PRESENT DAY atrocities continue to plague us. My ancestors endured the unthinkable while savages gathered to watch repeated lynchings of my people. I will never understand that sickness and evil...NEVER. I come from such a loving, caring, empathetic environment that I can only equate that to a certain level of sickness/evil that I hope to never encounter.
