"SELMA"...the film that keeps on giving! This is the article featured in January 2015's "O" magazine about the phenomenal film that will debut in select theaters on Christmas Day and in most theaters on January 9th. My Selma cast members and I landed in this very article, which is quite the honor. (I am pictured in the blue dress). My life will forever be changed by being giving the opportunity to work in such a monumental piece of my black history. I know that watching this film will create such mixed emotions inside me, specifically because so much of what occurred in the 60's, is still going on today. As directher says with such passion..."onward." I will consciously move forward with intentions on making this world that we live in a better place for those that follow behind me, just as those in Selma did. As I finish this post, I remember those that were injured, attacked, fought tirelessly and are no longer with us today because they wanted change. I will be a "change agent" too. ...
