Her IVHF bio notes she became the first volleyball player to compete in five Olympic Games (1992–2008) — and as Brazil’s setter, she led the team to its first-ever Olympic gold in women’s volleyball in 2008, earning Best Setter of the Games. Fofão remains active in Brazil through volleyball development, ambassador roles, and mentorship, and she has participated in federation and Olympic movement activities promoting women’s sport.
