When I’m not working on Black Vibe Tribe, I’m trying to give my brothers and sisters that are incarcerated, an outlet through writing. ••• I am walking the path my ancestors paved for me and Friday’s route led me to the gates of Atlanta YDC with 40 notebooks in hand 📓🖤 . . The drive was long, (because we went during “Atlanna rush hour traffic” 🤦🏾‍♀️ We arrived at our destination and they had re-located. 😖 This is when my Mom turned around and gave me a look like this 👉🏾😑because I hadn’t done my due diligence by verifying the address before we started off. 🥴🥺😓. Luckily it was only another 15 minutes away, 😅but in my mind, this was the first step to impacting a demographic of kids whose stories are seldom heard or even acknowledged for that matter.
