Last month, Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office's K-9 Unit had the privilege to host an Explosive Detection K-9 Seminar, presented by Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine’s Detection Canine Science, Innovation, Technology and Education (DCSITE) program sponsored by Department of Homeland Security S&T Detection Canine Program, at our Annex facility. 🐕 Approximately 15 canine teams, including those from the UNCC Police Department and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, participated in this regional training. This event, part of the Education for Canine and Handler Operations (ECHO) Technology Transfer Seminar Series, offered a valuable opportunity to learn from leading experts in explosive detection, covering the latest advancements in K-9 science and technology. #mecksheriff #K9unit
