The winners will receive additional support for future placemaking and public art projects in their communities: 🏆Downtown Stratford BIA (downtownstratford) was presented the Innovative Award for “The Perfectionist” mural by Kellen Hatanaka (kellenhatanaka), which explores identity and underrepresented narratives in public space. ​​🏆Ottawa Street BIA (ottawastbia) won the Community Engagement Award for vinyl lamp post illustrations created by Sharon Trottier and Mishiikenh Kwe/Autumn Smith (mishiikenhkwe) reflecting the natural world, the rich history of the land, and the Indigenous presence in Hamilton. 🏆Eglinton Hill BIA (eglintonhillbia) received the Transformation Award for the “Sharing Stories of Migration” mural by Moises Frank (moises.be.nice) representing migration and knowledge-sharing in the Eglinton Hill community.  Applications ...
