Big news for Idaho students! 🩹✨ The “Band-Aid Bill” (HB 860) just passed the House Judiciary and Rules Committee unanimously. This is a huge win for common sense and student safety. For the past year, a legal “mess” meant some schools were hesitant to even provide a bandage or help in a mental health crisis without prior parental consent. We heard heartbreaking stories of teens being hung up on by crisis lifelines and students with serious injuries waiting for care. HB 860 clarifies the law to ensure: ✅ Schools can provide basic first aid (yes, like Band-Aids!) without delay. ✅ Minors can receive emergency medical treatment and crisis support when every second counts. This is progress, but the fight isn’t over! The bill now heads to the House floor. We need to make sure our representatives know that student health and safety come first. 📣 CALL TO ACTION Don’t let this momentum stall.
