Michael Burry, the investor made famous by The Big Short, is warning about a potentially dangerous setup in financial markets. Since the Iran conflict began, oil prices have surged roughly 50%, pushing crude oil above $100 per barrel. Energy investments are reacting quickly. The United States Oil Fund ETF, ticker USO, has surged above $120 and is up more than 45% since the conflict started. Meanwhile stock markets are moving in the opposite direction. The Dow ETF DIA has fallen more than 5% over the past month, while the S&P 500 ETF SPY and tech-heavy QQQ have also declined. Burry says this combination of rising oil prices and weakening stocks could create a stagflation risk if tensions continue. It’s the kind of economic setup that investors watch closely during geopolitical shocks. #USO #OilPrices #StockMarket #MichaelBurry #EnergyStocks
