Andzelika Cetera’s #RhodyAbroad journey to #CostaRica offered a firsthand look at global healthcare, supported by the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. 🇨🇷 ✈️ A senior kinesiology major in URI’s accelerated 4+1 program, Andzelika spent J-Term in San José studying Costa Rica’s universal healthcare system through the faculty-led course "Introduction to Global Health," taught by Professor Molly Greaney (uri.chs) and Professor Kerri Ellis (urinursing). Alongside academic visits to a local university, a private hospital, and the U.S. Embassy, the trip also allowed her to explore Costa Rica’s culture and landscapes through museums, animal rescues, the Poás Volcano, and a rainforest zipline. Her favorite part, though, was connecting with the local people.
