Two people are dead -- including the gunman -- and two others are injured after a shooting at Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk, Virginia, on Thursday morning, officials said. Citing unnamed sources, the New York Post identified the suspect as 36-year-old Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, who is a former member of the Army National Guard previously convicted in a terrorism-related case. The media outlet reported that Jalloh "stormed into a classroom" and asked if it was an ROTC class. He opened fire after someone confirmed that it was, per the outlet. In 2017, Jalloh was sentenced to 11 years in prison and five years supervised release for trying to provide material in support of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the Department of Justice announced at the time.
