SANA SANA is sort of a transition album towards a big sonic shift into a second album in 2027. After Franks Full Moon Saloon, I wanted to challenge myself and try something completely different. I wanted to avoid the pitfalls of performative authenticity (being topically folk, too twangy, or more punk), I found myself reaching for more nostalgic influences from the early 00’s. It’s feels good to make this music even if it isn’t in fashion.
