Is it just me, or is BTS (bts.bighitofficial)’s new promo insanely on point?
BigHit Music just dropped an animation that carries the measage of the upcoming album “Arirang” along with the first-ever group photo for ARIRANG.
The video opens with seven young men gathered around a phonograph playing “Arirang,” Korea’s iconic folk song, back in 1896. They then cross the Pacific on a massive ship, recording the song in a foreign land and sharing it with people there. The scene suddenly shifts to the present — and BTS appears on stage.
The story is inspired by historical records that say “Arirang” was first recorded in Washington, D.C. in 1896. Using that moment as a motif, the video highlights how BTS continues to introduce Korean culture to the world — reminding us exactly why they’re considered the kings of K-pop.
