LIONS BLANK OAKS CHRISTIAN: The jserra.beachvolleyball team earned its third straight victory on Thursday, as the Lions defeated Oaks Christian 5-0 in a nonleague match at Fairmont Prep School in San Juan Capistrano. Seniors Emma Champagne and Sara Moynihan were victorious by scores of 21-19 and 21-12, seniors Skylar Noble and Presley Johnson earned wins of 21-13 and 21-15, junior Berit Brinkema and sophomore Ava Champagne turned in triumphs of 21-12 and 21-6, juniors Sarah Thorp and Lyla Gerstenberger produced victories of 21-12 and 21-8, and senior Catherine Beadles and junior Hollie Hooper secured triumphs of 21-14 and 21-17 in the Lions’ sweep.
