Virginia City: A Step Back in Time BTSLV recently had the opportunity to visit Virginia City, NV(virginiacity) to do some behind-the-scenes coverage on an upcoming Al Bravo (albravo98) film, and the experience felt less like a work trip and more like stepping through a living time capsule. Walking down C Street, it’s impossible not to feel the weight of history. Many of the buildings lining Main Street remain largely untouched for more than 150 years, preserving the look and feel of a true 19th-century mining boomtown. Weathered wood facades, brick saloons, historic hotels, and old storefronts still stand where miners, merchants, and outlaws once crossed paths during the height of the Comstock Lode. What makes Virginia City so special is how little has been modernized. Instead of recreations, visitors are often standing inside original structures from the 1860s and 1870s.
