“I think it’s going to change people’s lives”. 11-year-old Millie, who has dyslexia, has designed a pair of colour-changing glasses to help people with the learning disability to be able to read more easily and comfortably. The glasses, which she first had the idea for aged eight, have interchangeable colour-changing lenses which help to make reading more comfortable for people with the condition. Out of more than 70,000 entries, Millie’s design won gold at the Primary Engineer MacRobert Medal and was selected to be made into a prototype by a manufacturing firm.
