In 2021, Megan Piphus Peace, a self-trained ventriloquist and puppeteer joined Sesame Street as the first Black female puppeteer in the show's history. @meganpiphus started puppetry and ventriloquism at ten and taught herself puppetry and ventriloquism by watching VHS tapes.
