At the Women in Business NI Awards in Belfast, our CEO Prof. Maggie O’Carroll and Director of Development Lisa McMullan were pleased to meet Deputy First Minister Emma Little Pengelly emma.little.pengelly following her inspiring speech celebrating women’s leadership across business and public life. We spoke about an issue that is too often overlooked — women’s health. Many women still struggle to be heard when seeking help, with symptoms dismissed or delayed in being properly addressed. This has real impacts on wellbeing, confidence and careers. At The Women’s Organisation, we are working with partners across Northern Ireland, including NIWRN Northern Ireland Rural Women’s Network, derrywellwomen Derry Well Women, and the Community Foundation NI, to help inform the Women’s Health Action Plan for Northern Ireland and contribute to the renewed Women’s Health Strategy in England.
