This was one of several songs I had recorded and then my hard drive crashed, so I lost everything. This song somehow managed to survive, so I’m releasing it as is, instead of re-recording it. I feel there’s a reason to everything that happens, so I went with my intuition on this one. BACKGROUND: I’ve always wanted to do a pop song, so I wrote and sang this in one take. The story behind the song is kind of funny to me, and it was therapeutic recording/writing it. One of my ex girlfriends lied to me for my entire life and told me her family was part of the CIA 🤣😂 I was naive and I believed her so I constantly lived in fear and I literally fled the state when we ended everything. Then I found out she was a sociopath and lied about everything in life so yeah it was traumatic. I didn’t speak or leave the house for 6 months after that...
