dressed in white, carrying prayers, fruit, and fire in our hearts.
This was more than a ceremonyâ
this was order, legacy, and reclamation.
For 25 years, ADACI has been the drumbeat of remembrance.
This Carnival of the Spirit was our soulâs reminder
that we are the continuation of something ancient and unbreakable.
We honored the ancestors. We lifted the names.
We fed the spirits. We held each other.
And we danced in whiteânot for trend,
but for tradition. For purity. For power.
The diaspora is not lostâit is rooted.
Rooted in the rivers. Rooted in Detroit.
Rooted in the breath of every child who watched us
teach them how to remember.
This was the best white party on the planet
because it was soaked in reverence, rhythm, and real love.
