During a recent podcast, I was asked what motivated me to launch the Asian Football Awards… ⚽️🏆 My answer was simple: REPRESENTATION .. After more than fifteen years of advocating for South Asians in football, I have seen how visibility can shift perceptions and open doors. When people see others who look like them working, leading, and succeeding in the game, it changes what they believe is possible. That has always been the aim of the Awards: to recognise talent, inspire belief, and drive change. Over the years, the Awards have helped raise the issue of representation in mainstream media and share the stories of inspiring individuals and organisations that are shaping football’s future. The success of last year’s event showed just how important these Awards are in continuing to tell the stories of trailblazers and inspiring the next generation.
