Thought of the Day: SELF-BOUNDARIES . Is being too nice to people who haven’t earned it harmful to us? Absolutely. I’ve learned that protecting my peace means letting go and building boundaries. Not everyone deserves access to my time, my energy, my networks, or my life — and that’s okay. Many people see me from the outside as “a golden access to an opportunity” but they don’t always value my personal side. They don’t see me as a human, but as an opportunity for their own personal gain. Ummm, hey, a friendly reminder — I’m also a woman and a human with feelings, not just the “golden access key” to certain celebrities or networks for a personal gain. I learned that boundaries with colleagues aren’t about building walls — they’re about creating respect. It’s knowing when to give, when to hold back, and when to protect your energy so you can keep showing up as your best self. In the end, self-boundaries are a form of self-love.
