I DID IT!!! ✨ I have officially finished the first full draft of my first-ever novel! After authoring 40+ nonfiction books, I thought I had writing down to a fine art. But fiction? Oh wow, that has been a whole new beast. There were so many moments I wanted to give up. It felt impossible at times. The craft, the structure, the character arcs, the plotting—it was SO much harder than I expected. But I stuck with it. Again and again and again. And now, for the first time, I feel like I can actually do this. Of course, there’s still a long way to go—character development, plot refinement, all the iterations that will make this the best it can be—but I am LOVING this process now. I’m proud of myself for pushing through the hard. It reminds me of when I first started speaking on stages. In the beginning, it was excruciating.
