Where have you felt most at home? Planning my upcoming pilgrimage make me think of this🥾💭 I’ve grown roots in many places since childhood, letting go of the comfort of my hometown and finding a sense of home in the places I’ve traveled. 🌍
The older I get, the more comfort I find in following their groove and pace. Maybe that’s why the feeling comes in fragments. ✨
🚆 Overnight sleeping at a park because of a missed train? Checked.
⛺ Cozying up in a soaked tent from the rain? Checked.
⛰️ Falling asleep while counting meteor showers on a mountain in a sleeping bag? Many times.
At its core, I think home is really about belonging. And holding onto those memories is part of the luxury. 🏡
🌻 Sometimes, it smells like wildflowers and fresh-baked bread.
☕ Other times, it’s a warm cup in the morning followed by an oh-so-gentle touch.
🔁 For others, it becomes something more abstract. Something they rebuild over and over out of memory and hope. 🕯️
