Seeing clouds dancing below Mount Seymour reminded me of my first hike on Japan's highest peak, Mount Fuji. At 3776m of steep incline, with long switchbacks, and high risk of altitude hypoxia, I hiked all the way to the 10th station Chojo Summit Hut without proper hiking gear and outdoor knowledge, 18 years ago.
