This past weekend, I visited someone with cancer at a hospital to sing over him and pray for him with a few others. He was given only a few days to live. As we sang worship music and prayed fervently, inviting God's presence into the room and His will to be done, the atmosphere shifted. A soft, sweet, and peaceful presence was evident in the room for about an hour. After we left, the doctors did a new assessment of his health and his time to live is now believed to be 2 months. We often put the words of experts on a pedestal and end up taking crippling sentences over us that aren't meant to be ours. As long as you have a purpose on this planet, God will keep you around.
