💎Thank you for listening and watching.
Diaspora means the movement of people, culture, and stories across places and generations — and that’s at the heart of what I create.
I’m Karina Puente, an artist creating contemporary Papel Picado, hand-dyed textiles, and drawings that carry both ancestral and mythical stories — including La Sirena and the sea.
This exhibition was curated by Monica O. Montgomery, founder of DiasporaDNA: Story Center, and first shown at the Community Art Center two years ago.
Here’s how we can work together:
Collectors: My original artworks and limited-edition pieces are available for purchase.
Community & Institutions: I create site-specific installations for public spaces, exhibitions, and events.
Workshops: I offer art-making workshops inspired by Papel Picado for groups, arboretums, and private events.
