BARN LIVING AREA PROGRESS
I’ve had lots of request for stills, so here are some recent shots of the main living area in the barn.
It’s very much a work in progress and I’m just adding colour gradually as we live in it through the seasons. It’s also, accidentally, getting a bit of a Moroccan vibe!
5. & 6. I’m keen to paint the wall opposite the sofa a tawny smudgy pink, but the daughter and boyfriend love the white raw lime plaster. The tawny pink would need to be a lime wash so that the plaster can breathe, so it would still have that lovely mottled look.
What do you think? Anyone on my side?!
Nearly all the furniture and the lampshades etc are from my old flat.
11. But I have bought one new very special piece - a stunning arched glass cabinet from grahamandgreen which I got in the sale. You’ll see it in the last picture. I love it sooooo much and it acts like a bit of a screen for the loo that’s through the door beside it. I’m planning to paint either a large scale mural or ...
