This staircase was an incredible piece of luck! And it might be the thing I’m most thrilled with in the barn so far, not just because I love it, but because of how we got it. We’d realized we just couldn’t afford the staircase of our dreams. There WERE some out of the box ones that we could have stretched to, but they felt clunky and wrong for the elegance of the barn. So then I started calling manufacturers and it turns out that spiral staircases are much cheaper than standard ones. Who knew?! For a moment we were excited, but even those were out of our budget.
