New mural!
I actually painted this mural a couple of months ago, within days of moving to East Sussex - of course!
I just couldn’t help myself, especially when I realized this was another neglected shabby transition space, rather like the staircase in my London flat.
I based the design on my original bright yellow Chinese tree painting, but this one is softer and in more muted colours because the boyfriend needs peace and calm all around and actually I think this gentle tree really suits the space.
The original painting was inspired by a beautiful Robinia tree at the bottom of my parents’ garden in South London - even on a dull day it brought the sunshine into the garden.
Now it’s come on a journey to thelittlewildfarm and this time it feels like it’s somehow bringing the protective shelter of nature inside.
And don’t worry, when the barn is converted more bright colour will be coming!
What do you think? Love it or loathe it?
Oh and I’m off to the ufurnishcom home awar...
