Roads of Peshawar
Peshawar is the legendary Pakistani city where in 1984 the famous photograph 'Afghan Girl' was taken by Steve McCurry and published on the cover of National Geographic Magazine in the June 1985 issue.
Today Peshawar is no longer what it was then, the refugee camp has been closed and the living conditions, although very different from what we are used to, have improved. The city and the people who live there are very friendly, the streets crowded with people, the markets are full of picturesque scenes, curious characters and almost improbable subjects.
