Swipe! From complex aerial lighting (attaching a wireless flash to a drone to studio light twallisch from top down), work lights illuminating the backdrop pine trees, lighting assistants with 25’ painter poles, and long exposures while communicating with Tom to time his hits on the feature at the end of the exposure while manually triggering the wireless flashes, this project was one of the most technical endeavors of my career. This sequence of imagery showcases a few behind-the-scenes moments from the 120-hour project in late May 2023, with a goal of capturing a powerful and surreal ski image with Mount Superior towering above in Little Cottonwood Canyon, UT.
