Crisp clear blue skies and a burning gradient of color during late twilight overlooking the Yampa Valley and the distant 12,000ft+ Flat Tops Wilderness in Colorado. I always want clouds, more the better when shooting landscape imagery. However, sometimes you can work around “severe clear” conditions. On this particular evening last year (September 30th), I knew the late twilight sunset gradient would match the golds of the peak autumn foliage. I just needed to be patient. These two panoramic images were created from 7 separate images in near darkness, the first being .5 second exposures, and the second being 25 second exposures. Pretty wild, but it works! #yampavalley #steamboatsprings #buffalopass #steamboatresort #steamboatcolorado #autumncolor #autumnlandscape #landscapehpotos #flattopswilderness #exposurephotography #coloradoart #coloradoartist #steamboatart #steamboatartist #fineartphotography #art
