Late afternoon light strikes one of Colorado’s most iconic peaks, Lone Eagle Peak in early September last fall. This was captured via a 200-second exposure using a 10-Stop ND Filter (ISO 100 f/13), allowing me to take a long exposure in the daytime and get some cloud movement. I’d been wanting to visit this location for years, and in mid-September last year I got the chance to sneak away. After the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8th 2024, I didn’t have time to shoot one single image the entire summer of 2024 (besides a few commercial shoots for bigagnes_ and bikeraft ), even though I was working 70-90+ hour weeks managing other aspects of my business. This trip was my first escape to get outside and adventure. It felt so damn good to be creating again, and exploring a new location.
