Finding the perfect location is a big portion of the battle when shooting landscape imagery. Regardless of the season or subject, I’m always looking for a clean aesthetic composition. From trunks that don’t have any branches, to a forest floor that lacks fallen trees and ground foliage that isn’t overgrown, these locations are challenging to find. Earlier this summer I was able to scout and locate one of these zones in Northwestern Colorado, eventually returning to capture some beautiful imagery (not without a ruthless mosquito battle).
