Full moon rising over the Atlantic Ocean and the Portland Head Light on cold November evening in Maine. I can’t remember how many mornings and evenings I spent shooting this coastline in pursuit of the right shot, but each time was rewarding in a peaceful way. On this particular night, the tide was rising and I kept having to move and readjust the framing, half the time being in the water itself and attempting to weight the camera for limited tripod shake. Also, the lighthouse light was rotating and I had it on a 2 second exposure to capture movement in the water. I remember having to wait and time the light to rotate and illuminate the water.
