Install day! Always stoked to print a massive piece and know my clients will enjoy it for years to come! This particular night on August 1st of 2016 was special, peak wildflowers with a dramatic sunset and a little haze to amplify the colors. The whole afternoon the light changed a few times, beams of light shining through storm clouds and haze… topped off with this sunset. It took two separate trips to capture, and this particular evening nature gave me a show. I remember hiking out 5 miles in the dark that evening feeling grateful and really fulfilled. I nailed the conditions and timing, capturing a beautiful moment of a truly iconic location I’d never seen before in a photograph.
