During my recent visit to Uttarakhand, I made an unplanned visit to a beautifully located temple, called as ‘Ghorakhal’~ ~ A Temple of Bells & Beliefs 💫 Located in the solitude of Himalayas about 30 mins from Bhimtal, this temple not only offers peaceful vibes but the entire route is a treat to the eyes. Once you reach the location, there are few uphill steps to climb but they can easily be done with the quaint lush green trees & scenery around. People from all over the region consider Golu Devta, the presiding deity of the temple, to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva and ‘The God of Justice’. They come here for a wish to be fulfilled and on accomplishment of their wish, they show gratitude by hanging bells.
