I became one of the few people in India who had the chance to try Meta’s Orion glasses.
Recently, I visited the India AI Impact Summit, and among all the incredible conversations around AI, one experience truly stood out for me: going hands-on with Meta’s vision for the future of wearables.
Trying Orion felt less like testing a gadget and more like stepping into the next phase of computing.
What impressed me the most:
• The immersive field of view – digital content didn’t feel like an overlay, it felt naturally present
• The lightweight, glasses-like form factor – surprisingly sleek for such advanced tech
• Multimodal interaction – voice, eye tracking, hand tracking, and EMG input working together
• The idea of “reality, better” – enhancing your environment instead of pulling you away from it
The entire experience made one thing very clear: AR wearables are no longer a distant concept. They are becoming practical, intuitive, and deeply human-centric.
