I had the honour of speaking with Rodrigue Vitini, the Digital Sovereignty Specialist Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Berlin. During this interview, we discussed the recently launched AWS European Sovereign Cloud, Rodrigue explained that “sovereign-by-design” is not a slogan. It’s an architectural decision. “We've designed AWS to be sovereign- by- design. Concretely the customer has the control to select a Rregion where they can use the cloud. We have six Regions in the European Union today plus the European Sovereign Cloud now.
