I had a fascinating conversation with Rev Lebaredian, Vice President of Omniverse and Simulation Technology at NVIDIA. We explored the future of robotics and how Omniverse is playing a pivotal role in shaping it. As Rev put it, "A robot is essentially an autonomous agent that operates in the physical world," with the ability to "perceive," "reason," and "actuate" to influence its environment. He shared how these systems are becoming increasingly integrated, from self-driving cars to even buildings that "actuate" based on sensors.
At NVIDIA, Rev and his team are combining cutting-edge technologies—rendering, AI, and physics simulation—into Omniverse, creating "physically accurate virtual worlds." This platform is revolutionising industries like architecture, engineering, and entertainment, allowing real-time collaboration and simulation. As Rev put it, "Robotics systems are increasing everywhere," and Omniverse is helping to make that a reality.
