TECNO just showcased the ATOM concept phone at MWC 2026, and its idea is completely different from normal smartphones. It’s insanely thin and built on a fully modular concept. Here’s what makes it unique 👇 • Only 4.9mm thin (even thinner than iPhone Air) • Modular design – attach different parts anytime • Add extra 3000mAh battery modules (up to 4 together) • Don’t like the camera? Swap it with another camera module • Even attach a big sensor with a lens module • Add accessories like mic or flashlight • So thin that it doesn’t have a Type-C port • Charging works through a magnetic modular attachment It definitely looks exciting, but modular phones have struggled before. Google’s Project Ara tried something similar in 2013 and was eventually cancelled in 2016. Now TECNO has at least built a working concept called ATOM, and people online are already talking about it.
