Say 👋 to “Great Blue Heron with Rainbow Trout 1”. Great Blue herons are terrific fishermen. They can see really well in the dark and I often spot them at dawn and dusk working their way along the shoreline beside my house. With one quick dart, they reach down to the water and almost always come up with a fish. Usually the fish is swallowed in one quick gulp but there has to be a limit to how much any of us can eat at one go.
