Ten years.
Somehow it feels like yesterday… and also like a lifetime.
For anyone new here — hi, I’m Georgie,
I’m the co-founder of Mums Who Build, and I’m mum to two boys. My eldest, Freddie, has a rare genetic condition and is severely autistic. He’s non-verbal — we don’t communicate in the way most people expect… but we do communicate. Deeply. Constantly. In our own way.
This wasn’t the motherhood journey I imagined.
But I wouldn’t change a single part of it.
Freddie teaches me every single day how to slow down, how to notice the small things, how to be more patient, more present, more human. This life — our life — is hard, yes. But it’s also our normal. And it’s filled with so much love.

I see you. I know the strength it takes just to show up some days. The resilience you didn’t ask for. The pride you feel that words don’t quite capture.
