We landed in Las Vegas from London and hit the roadâdriving through Nevadaâs deserts and Californiaâs mountains, making our way to the Bay Area. 20 hours of travel, split between air and asphaltâand well worth it.
Road-tripping through America really puts its vastness into perspective. The open highways, the endless landscapes, the sheer scale of it allâthis is a country built for long drives.
Driving through Nevada felt strangely familiarâlong, empty roads, vast khaki deserts, and that dry, endless horizon. If youâve ever been to Southern Afghanistan, youâd know what I mean. Itâs wild how two places, worlds apart, can share the same energy.
