Winter Expedition Diaries 🇦🇫 Part 1 This time last year with hikeventures.afg we set out for our first winter expedition in one of the coldest parts of #Afghanistan where temperatures drop to -33C. The goal was to explore this uncharted part of Afghanistan and possibly ascend the Shah Foladi peak located in Baba mountain range standing tall at 5,038 metres. The expedition lasted 4 days of camping in the mountains. Due to harsh weather conditions and lack of proper gear we have only managed to get to the base of the mountain. On the way back to our base camp Mr Governor of #Bamyan heard the news and invited us for lunch, praising our suicide mission 😄.
