Recently I’ve been trialing lots of different terminal tackle and putting it through it paces. Switching things up every now and again can give you a new perspective on tactics and especially effectiveness in certain scenarios. What I’ve found was some absolute gems, let’s dive in!
Big wild lakes anywhere in the world will ask everything from your tackle and setup. Unforgiving underwater topography, giant snags, structures, weeds, muscle beds, FORESTS! These places are not manicured commercial holiday venues they are the true wild and still largely unexplored destinations we all dream of visiting. Choosing tackle that will stand up to the job is not always an easy choice and having faith that WHEN you pull into one of these beautiful wild carp it’s going to stand up to the job is absolutely paramount.
